Semafor Software ANS has two owners who both work full time for the company.
Alix Cordray is American, having grown up in California. She has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley. She moved to Norway in 1975 in order to work for Norsk Software Industri and has been a programmer ever since.
At first she wrote programs in assembly language, mainly on computers manufactured by Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk. For several years she worked on a database used in the control system for Statfjord oil platforms. She has also written many hardware test programs, both for Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk computers and for Norsk Data computers. Later she worked with HamboHus and Jonathan CAD System (en early CAD system written for Mac II). In the 1990s she was employed by Alcatel Telecom Norway, and worked mostly with programs for network management of PBXs.
Since 1999 she has worked full time with HamboHus. Today she is the main HamboHus developer.
Alf Martin Jensen has his engineering degree from Sørlandets Tekniske Skole (now called Universitetet i Agder). At the school, he came into contact with Norsk Data computers. He was employed by Norsk Software Industri in 1974 and has worked in programming since then.
